Mother Nature remains the Greatest Show on Earth. Or were you not mesmerized and maybe even a little afraid of those colorful, spinning storm graphics during the past week as Hurricane Irma terrorized Florida, creating a corridor of chaos?

Parallels between LPGA and WNBA

Thanks for giving Juli Inkster the opportunity to expand on her comments at the Solheim Cup (“Inkster: Female golfers deserve better,” Sept. 11, http://bit.ly/2xhZIwL). Your questions were incisive.

All four past winners at Evian since it was elevated to major-championship status – Suzann Pettersen (2013), Hyo Joo Kim (2014), Lydia Ko (2015) and In Gee Chun (2016) – are entered this week (tee times: http://bit.ly/2xXLjTq).

Postponed: The U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, because of the effects of Hurricane Irma, the U.S. Golf Association announced. Revised dates for the tournament, which had been scheduled for Oct. 7-12 at Quail Creek Country Club in Naples, Fla., were not disclosed.
